I Received the Eric Hoffer Award Certificate Today — And I’m Officially an Eric Hoffer Award-Winning Author!




Today, something incredible arrived in the mail — a certificate that reads Honorable Mention 2025, The Eric Hoffer Book Award, E-Book Fiction Category, The Pandora's Box, by L.S. Franco. I’ll be honest: I stared at it for a while before I could fully take it in.

My debut YA sci-fi fantasy novel, The Pandora’s Box, Conjurer's Prophecy Book 1, received Honorable Mention in the 2025 Eric Hoffer Book Award, and holding the official certificate in my hands made everything feel real. There's even a "WINNER" seal on it — and yes, it gave me chills. This honor places me among the recognized voices in this year’s competition, and I couldn’t be more grateful.

As an author who poured heart, soul, and way too many sleepless nights into this trilogy, it’s deeply rewarding to see this level of recognition — especially from a prestigious award program like Eric Hoffer’s. The competition is tough, the books are diverse and outstanding, and just to be part of it is humbling.

What made the experience even better was the team behind the scenes. The award process was smooth, transparent, and handled with genuine care. I especially want to thank Dawn Shows, who was an absolute pleasure to speak with every time I had a question or concern. Her kindness and professionalism made me feel like I was part of something truly meaningful.

The Pandora’s Box is the beginning of a trilogy that blends sci-fi and fantasy into a deeply emotional coming-of-age adventure. And now, I get to call it an Eric Hoffer award-winning series.
